About My Skills

Web Design + Code

Web design and coding are subjects which I have the most experience and which you will find of most portfolio projects.  I have worked with online startups such as Nitetables.com to manage their photography and creative departments as well as helping manage client and customer relations. I currently know HTML5, CSS3 and Processing but am planning to self-learn Angular and React. Designing Photoshop comps and Illustrator logos are just some of what I can do!

Data Visualization

At Parsons, Lang and Sydney Uni I have constantly found an interest in collecting, analyzing, plotting and visualizing data. Knowledge of ArchGIS and Excel is necessary for me to do this. I have looked at the location of coral boulders n an atoll in the Great Barrier Reef to determine if tropical cyclones could be the physical process that moved them there, contaminants in Middle Harbour in Sydney as well as the effects of hurricanes on the population and demographics of the Tri-state area. This is one of my favorite ways to design and unearthing information from complex data or finding order within chaos is one of my favorite practices.

Print + Photography + Information Design

I have studied advertising and marketing as well as the design department's role in both. I have worked on logos, page and magazine layouts, information design and other graphic designs throughout my educational and professional careers. Knowing Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are essential for being a good, well rounded designer. hotography editing and retouching are also something very close to me and I have had the opportunity to manage the photography department on a few occasions!

Product Design

You may ask, where product design fits in with all this digital work. In my early career at Parsons I took a route through the product design major that allowed me to take classes such as design, research and development, and woodworking. These classes taught me hands on approaches to problem solving and have influenced many of my current designs. inding the relationship between the 2D and 3D worlds is important for any designer, being that whatever we create is digested in a physical space.
